Merry Christmas, yesterday we opened all the presents as usual after we got back from a Christmas party. We celebrate Christmas because God sent Jesus down to us while we were yet sinners to die for us so we could be free from sin. Though this probably isn’t the date when Christ was born, it is a good date to celebrate it and shine your light before men. So while you are busy eating and opening gifts stop for a minute and to thank God for Christmas. Tomorrow my family and I are going to California to spend the week with my grandparents; it should be interesting riding in the car with all of us kids in the car for 15 hours. In a little while my sister and I are going to decorate sugar cookies we have been planning to do it for several days so hopefully it will happen.
The verse of the day is James 1:19-20 “This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.”
The random historical fact of the day is on December 25 1818 "Silent Night" was performed for the first time, at the Church of St. Nikolaus in Oberndorff , Austria .
Merry Christmas
Gavi
